*WITH THE ARREST OF TRIO COMPRISING “TWO SIBLINGS AND ONE CLASSMATE”, TEAM PS SHASTRI PARK WORKED-OUT A SENSATIONAL ROBBERY*. 

- THREE PERSONS ARRESTED (FIRST TIMERS)

- TWO MOBILE PHONES AND RS. 7812/- SOILED UNUSABLE CURRENCY NOTES RECOVERED. 

- M/CYCLE USED IN COMMISSION OF CRIME RECOVERED. 

On 05.12.2022, information regarding robbery from a person namely Ashish Gupta, who deals in exchange of soiled currency notes (unusable) in Sadar Bazar was received in PS Shastri Park. Immediately a police team reached the spot and contacted the complainant, who informed that he had been robbed for his Scooty and a bag containing cash in soiled currency notes and two mobile phones by three persons tripling on a motorcycle. 

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No 870/22 dated 6.12.2022 u/s 392/34 IPC, PS Shastri Park, Delhi was registered and investigation taken up. 

Assessing the gravity of incident, a police team comprising SI Pravesh Kumar, ASI Surender, HC Rahis and Const. Ranjeet under the supervision of SHO/Shastri Park, scanned and analyzed CCTV footages of various cameras to ascertain the escape route taken by robbers after commission of crime. Technical surveillance as well human intelligence was deployed to gather the local intelligence.

As the suspects don’t have any previous criminal antecedents and were frequently changing their hideouts to evade arrests, hence it was a challenge fir the police to nab them. But, Sincere efforts put-up by police team through technical surveillance & human intelligence paid off. And, finally through technical surveillance, they were located in Eastern (U.P). The police team harbored itself in UP and through local resources zeroed-in on them to Gonda. 

On 12.12.22 raids were conducted and three persons namely Ajay Kumar Singh S/o Rajender Singh and two siblings Satyam and his brother Laxman Singh S/o Inder Bahadur Singh R/o Maurice Nagar, Delhi were apprehended from Gonda, UP. 

On sustained interrogation, they confessed for their crime and disclosed that they all are natives of Gonda, (U.P. and had been working in Delhi for some time.  It is further revealed that Satyam Thakur was working as Security Guard in Nabi Karim Metro Site in night shift and was residing at rented house in the area of Maurice Nagar, Delhi along with his brother Laxman. Whereas Ajay Singh used to live in the area of Dayalpur, Delhi and had been working with a builder Mohit gupta in Vivek Vihar as Supervisor , Delhi.  One day, while they were roaming in the area near Baratuti, Sadar Bazar, they noticed a person dealing in exchange of soiled currency notes, packing his bag and leaving on his scooty. Immediately they hatched a conspiracy and did a complete recki of his route. On 05.12.22, as planned, they followed and robbed him near Shastri Park. After commission of crime, laxman fled with the scooty and bag. Later, he parked the scooty somewhere in Chauhan banger area and met his associate at Jhilmil Metro Station. They were frequently changing their locations to avoid arrest by the police. 

On their instance, raid was conducted and robbed bag containing two mobile phones, pieces of torn currency notes and packets of torn currency notes amounting Rs. 7812/-were recovered from their rented accommodation in Maurice Nagar. 

Subsequently, they were remanded on police custody for further recoveries. During Police custody remand, on their instance, the motorcycle used in commission of crime bearing registration No. UP-43AU-8763 registered in the name of wife of Ajay Singh, was recovered from a construction site in Vivek Vihar, Delhi. Sincere efforts are on to recover the robbed scooty. 

Further investigation of the case is in progress.

*ARRESTED PESONS*

• Ajay Kumar Singh S/o Rajender Singh R/o Roshan Vihar, Dayalpur, Delhi, Age-21 years. He studied up to 12th class and works on a construction site in Vivek Vihar.

• Laxman Singh S/o Inder Bahadur Singh R/o Maurice Nagar, Delhi, Age-23 years. He is studying in BA (2nd Year). He is presently jobless.

• Satyam S/o Inder Bahadur Singh R/o Maurice Nagar, Delhi, Age-21 years. He studied up to 12th class and works as a security guard at Nabi Karim Metro Site.

*RECOVERY*

• Two mobile phones robbed from complainant.

• Soiled unusable currency notes amounting to Rs. 7812/-

• Pieces of Torn/Unusable currency Notes.

- M/Cycle No. UP-43AU8763 (HERO HF DELUX) used in commission of crime.
